The Capital CampaignBuilt in the early 1970’s and despite upgrades by Frederick County Public Schools, the Stadium is in poor condition and remains in need of renovation. The entrance to the Stadium is not handicap accessible and there are no designated handicap parking areas provided. Although the track has been resurfaced, it is currently used by spectators to reach both the home and visitor stands. The home grandstand is not code compliant and needs to be expanded to meet the current and future needs of the school. Existing restrooms are inadequate and grossly undersized for the population. In addition, they are not accessible and far removed from the Stadium. Also, the Concession Stand is in need of repair and expansion to better serve the number of patrons in attendance. Lastly, the field surface is overused and is a frustration and a liability. The $3,600,000 Capital Campaign will raise funds to:
